In short

A live translator is an AI system that translates spoken language into other languages in real time. With the Klarframe Live Translator, the speaker talks in their input language and what they say is rendered in the required output languages. Each listener sets their own language and hears the translation through a web app in the browser and their own headphones. No app installation is required. The Live Translator is built for guided tours, events and in-person international customer contact. For Zoom meetings, Klarframe offers a separate solution, the Meeting Bridge.

How it works

  1. 01

    Define use and languages

With Klarframe you clarify where the Live Translator will be used, for example on tours, at events or in consultations, and which languages your guests or customers need.

  2. 02

    The speaker talks

The speaker talks into a microphone as usual, in their input language. The Live Translator recognises what is said and continuously translates it into the required output languages.

  3. 03

    Guests listen in their language

Listeners open the web app in their phone’s browser, pick their language and hear the translation through headphones. Each listener sets their own language.

  4. 04

    Operate and adapt

Klarframe handles setup and further development of the Live Translator, right through to customisation such as relevant technical terms, and works with you as an equal partner. Your regional partner is happy to explain the approach and details.

Use cases

Tourism and excursions

An excursion provider can run a tour for guests from several countries with a single guide. The guide speaks in their own language, and each guest hears the content in theirs on their own smartphone.

Events and guided tours

A museum, a winery or an event organiser can offer tours and talks to a mixed-language audience without splitting into separate groups per language. Guests join in the browser without installing an app first.

International customer contact

A car dealership, an estate agency or a clinic can hold consultations with international customers in which each side speaks its own language. The consultation stays personal, because your staff still lead it.

Connects with

  • Web browser on smartphone, tablet or laptop
  • Listeners’ headphones
  • Speaker’s microphone
  • Zoom via the Meeting Bridge

One-time setup plus monthly operation. Your regional Klarframe partner prepares an individual proposal based on scope.

Data protection & AI transparency

The Klarframe Live Translator is operated in line with the GDPR: EU hosting, a data processing agreement and documented data flows. Which audio and text data is processed and whether it is stored is agreed per project. Listeners should know that the translation is generated by AI; Klarframe labels AI-generated audio in line with the transparency obligations of the EU AI Act (Art. 50).

Frequently asked questions

Do listeners need an app for the Live Translator?

No. The Klarframe Live Translator runs in the web browser. Listeners open the web app on their smartphone, tablet or laptop, choose their language and hear the translation through headphones. No app installation or app store sign-up is needed.

Which languages does the Live Translator support?

The Klarframe Live Translator is built to be multilingual; German, English, Spanish and Italian are standard, and further languages are available on request. The target languages active in your project are set during setup to match your guests. Each listener picks their own language.

What is the difference between the Live Translator and the Meeting Bridge?

The Klarframe Live Translator is designed for in-person conversations, tours and events: guests hear the translation in the browser through headphones. The Klarframe Meeting Bridge adds spoken live translation and captions to Zoom meetings, with presentation and conversation modes.

Can an AI live translator replace an interpreter?

An AI live translator such as the Klarframe Live Translator makes multilingual tours, events and conversations possible where no interpreter would otherwise be booked. For legally binding negotiations or especially sensitive conversations, a human interpreter can still be the right choice. A live demo is available at simultan-translation.klarframe.com.

How much does the Klarframe Live Translator cost?

The Klarframe Live Translator is offered as a one-time setup plus a monthly fee. The regional partner prepares an individual quote based on venue, languages and usage. You can try live translation at simultan-translation.klarframe.com before a conversation.
